إلتقى الفريق أول / محمد زكى القائد العام للقوات المسلحة السيد / جان بيير لاكروا وكيل سكرتير عام الأمم المتحدة لعمليات حفظ السلام خلال زيارته الرسمية لجمهورية مصر العربية .
تناول اللقاء مناقشة عدداً من الموضوعات ذات الإهتمام المشترك فى ضوء الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية الراهنة ، كذلك دور مصر الفاعل بالتعاون مع الأمم المتحدة لدعم مهام قوات حفظ السلام فى ضوء الإلتزام بالمواثيق الدولية ومبادئ فض النزاعات والتسوية السلمية بما يعزز ركائز الأمن والإستقرار على الصعيدين الإقليمى والدولى .
حضر اللقاء الفريق / أسامة عسكر رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة وعدد من قادة القوات المسلحة .
General/ Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations
General/ Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, during his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting discussed several topics of mutual interest in light of current regional and international situations. It also highlighted Egypt’s active role in cooperation with the United Nations to support peacekeeping missions, in accordance with international charters and principles of conflict resolution and peaceful settlement, aiming to enhance security and stability regionally and internationally.
Lieutenant General/ Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and several Armed Forces leaders attended the meeting.
