أعلن الدكتور محمد الخشت رئيس جامعة القاهرة، ارتقاء مجلة جامعة القاهرة للمعلوماتية بكلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي، لمستوى مجلات الربع الذهبي الأول Q1 في تخصصي الذكاء الاصطناعي ونظم المعلومات وفقًا لترتيب Clarivate الصادر مؤخرًا والمبني على معامل التأثير.

وأوضح رئيس جامعة القاهرة، أن ترتيب المجلة في تخصص الذكاء الاصطناعي وصل إلى 45 من 197 (أي بنسبة تقدم 77.4%)، وفي تخصص نظم المعلومات إلى 45 من 249 (أي بنسبة تقدم 82.1%) وهو ما يعد قفزة كبيرة في مركز مجلة كلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي.

وأكد الدكتور محمد عثمان الخشت، أن وجود المجلة المصرية للمعلوماتية ضمن مجموعة الربع الأول Q1 يشير إلى قوتها العلمية في مجالات تخصصها ويشجع الباحثين من كافة أنحاء العالم على نشر أبحاثهم في المجلة باعتبارها واحدة من أفضل المجلات العلمية في تخصصات علوم الحاسب والذكاء الاصطناعي ونظم المعلومات.

وأشار الدكتور الخشت، إلى أن المجلة المصرية للمعلوماتية توفر منتدى لأحدث الأبحاث والتطوير في مجالات الحوسبة، بما في ذلك علوم الحاسب وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ونظم المعلومات وبحوث العمليات ودعم القرار حيث يتم تشجيع الأعمال المبتكرة وغير المنشورة سابقًا في الموضوعات التي تغطيها المجلة سواء كانت أكاديمية أو بحثية أو تجارية.

من جانبه، قال الدكتور رضا عبد الوهاب عميد كلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي، إنه تم إدراج مجلة المعلوماتية المصرية ضمن قاعدة بيانات Clarivate Analytics في عام 2018 بعد أن شهدت المجلة تحسنًا ملحوظًا في مؤشرات الأداء الخاصة بها، مشيرًا إلى أنه في خلال الفترة من 2018 وحتى عام 2022 كانت المجلة في مجالي الذكاء الاصطناعي ونظم المعلومات وفقا لترتيب Clarivate المبني على معامل التأثير ضمن قائمة الربع الثاني Q2 حيث تراوح ترتيب المجلة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي (محسوبًا كنسبة مئوية بين المجلات المتميزة) بين 51.78% و 69.42%، وفي مجال نظم المعلومات ما بين 51.94% و 68.0%.

وأوضح عميد كلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي، إلى أن مؤشر Clarivate Analytics يتبنى مجموعة من معايير تقييم أداء المجلات العالمية أهمها معامل تأثير المجلة JIF والذي يقيس عدد مرات الاستشهاد بالأبحاث المنشورة في المجلة بالنسبة لعدد الأبحاث، كما يتم ترتيب المجلات المتميزة المدرجة في قاعدة بيانات Clarivate تنازليًا وفقًا لمعامل التأثير ويتم تقسيم المجلات بناء على هذا الترتيب إلى أربع مجموعات Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4.

وذكر الدكتور رضا عبد الوهاب، أن مجلة المعلوماتية المصرية بدأت في عام 2000 كمجلة متخصصة في مجال علوم الحاسب والمعلومات بصورة مطبوعة ورقيًا ثم تحولت المجلة إلكترونيًا عام 2011 من خلال دار النشر العالمية المرموقة Elsevier كمجلة مفتوحة المصدر بثلاثة أعداد سنويًا.

جدير بالذكر أن جامعة القاهرة تولي اهتمامًا كبيرًا بالمجلات العلمية المصنفة ضمن أفضل المجلات العلمية على مستوى العالم، واستطاعت خلال فترة وجيزة أن يكون للمجلات التي تصدر عنها شأن كبير على المستوى العالمي من حيث معادل التأثير الدولي أو الاستشهاد بالبحوث المنشورة والاطلاع عليها، والذي يعكس تطبيق سياسات جامعات الجيل الخامس، والسير بخطى كبيرة نحو العالمية، والمساهمة في رفع ترتيب الجامعة في التصنيفات الدولية، وتسهيل إجراءات النشر الدولي للباحثين من خلال عقد اتفاقيات وتحالفات مع كبرى الجامعات العالمية ودور النشر، وقد وصل عدد المجلات الحاصلة على معاملات تأثير دولية من سكوبس أو كلاريفت أو كلاهما 8 مجلات علمية من جامعة القاهرة بزيادة قدرها 100% مقارنة بعدد المجلات الدولية في 2017.

Dr. Elkhosht: The EIJ’s achievement reflects its authority in its field and encourages researchers from all over the world to publish there. It is one of the best scientific journals in the disciplines of computer science, artificial intelligence, and information systems.

Dr. Reda Abdel Wahab: The EIJ, published by CU’s Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, has made great strides forward in the Clarivate ranking, based on criteria for evaluating the performance of international journals and measuring the number of citations of research published in them.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, announced that Cairo University’s Egyptian Informatics Journal, issued by the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, has risen to the level of Q1 (Golden Quarter) journals in the specializations of Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems, according to the recently issued impact-factor-based Clarivate ranking.

The President of Cairo University explained that EIJ’s ranking in artificial intelligence moved forward by 77.4%, placing 45th out of 197, and in information systems by 82.1%, placing 45th out of 249, a great leap forward for the journal.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht confirmed that EIJ’s presence in the Q1 group indicates its authority in its fields and encourages researchers from all over the world to publish their research in the journal as it is one of the best scientific journals in the disciplines of computer science, artificial intelligence, and information systems.

Dr. Elkhosht pointed out that the Egyptian Informatics Journal provides a forum for the latest research and development in the fields of computing, including computer science, information technology, information systems, operations research, and decision-making support, where innovative and previously unpublished works are encouraged on all the topics covered by the EIJ, whether academic, research, or commercial.

For his part, Dr. Reda Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, said that the EIJ was included in the Clarivate Analytics database in 2018 after a noticeable improvement in the EIJ’s performance indicators, noting that during the period from 2018 to 2022, EIJ ranked as Q2 in the fields of artificial intelligence and information systems, according to Clarivate. The EIJ’s ranking in the field of artificial intelligence (calculated as a percentage among distinguished journals) ranged from 51.78% to 69.42%, and in the field of information systems from 51.94% to 68.0%.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence explained that the Clarivate Analytics index adopts a set of criteria for evaluating the performance of international journals, the most important of which is the Journal Impact Factor (JIF), which measures the number of times research published in the journal is cited in relation to the number of research papers. The journals included in the Clarivate database are arranged in descending order by impact factor, divided into four groups: Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4.

Dr. Reda Abdel Wahab stated that the Egyptian Informatics Journal began in 2000 as a specialized magazine in the field of computer and information sciences in print; the publication then went electronic in 2011 through the prestigious international publishing house Elsevier as an open source magazine with three issues annually.

Cairo University devotes great attention to its journals, which are classified among the best in the world. In a short time, its journals have achieved great global importance in terms of international influence, citations, and access to published research, which reflects the application of fifth-generation university policies. CU is committed to making great strides toward global status, contributing to raising the university’s ranking in international classifications, and facilitating international publishing for researchers by concluding agreements and alliances with major international universities and publishing houses. The number of CU journals that obtained international impact factors from Scopus, Clarivate, or both is up to 8 CU journals, an increase of 100% compared to 2017.
