وقع الدكتور محمد الخشت رئيس جامعة القاهرة، والدكتور أحمد سامح فريد رئيس جامعة نيو جيزة ووزير الصحة وعميد طب قصر العيني الأسبق، بروتوكول تعاون مشترك في مجال الدراسات الطبية والصيدلانية وطب الفم والأسنان لتطوير البرامج الأكاديمية ودعم المناهج العلمية، وتنمية القدرات البحثية، وتطوير المهارات الإكلينيكية، وتبادل أعضاء هيئة التدريس، ودعم برامج التدريب الطبي والمهني.

حضر توقيع بروتوكول التعاون من جامعة القاهرة الدكتور حسام صلاح عميد كلية طب قصر العيني، والدكتورة غادة عبدالباري عميدة كلية الصيدلة، والدكتورة علا عمر عميدة كلية طب الأسنان، ومن جامعة نيو جيزة حضرت الدكتورة لميس رجب نائب رئيس الجامعة، والدكتورة راندا السلاوي عميدة كلية طب الأسنان، والدكتورة لمياء محسن عميدة كلية الطب، والدكتور خالد حجازي عميد كلية الإدارة، والدكتورة منال محمد عميدة كلية الصيدلة.

وأكد الدكتور محمد الخشت، خلال كلمته، على العلاقات القوية التي تجمع بين جامعة القاهرة وجامعة نيو جيزة، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا اللقاء يُمثل حلقة جديدة من حلقات التعاون بين الجامعتين من خلال 3 كليات مهمة تمثل رأس القطاع الطبي من أجل تقديم خدمات تعليمية وبحثية وطبية على مستوى عال من الكفاءة والتميز تصب في النهاية لصالح المواطن المصري، لافتًا إلى الدور التاريخى لجامعة القاهرة في تعاونها مع العديد من الجامعات الحكومية والأهلية والخاصة المرموقة.

وقال رئيس جامعة القاهرة، إن جامعة نيو جيزة تُعد من الجامعات المرموقة والتي تلتزم بتطبيق الشروط العلمية الدقيقة ويتم العمل بداخلها وفق منهجية قوية، ويتمتع خريجوها بمواصفات عالية ومتميزة، لافتًا إلى التزامها بتطبيق المواصفات الأوروبية والبريطانية الصارمة، وأنها تضم قامات وكوادر رفيعة من جامعة القاهرة.

وأكد الدكتور محمد الخشت، الدور المهم الذي تقوم به جامعة القاهرة داخل كافة الجامعات والمؤسسات العلمية من أجل النهوض بالمستوى العلمي والثقافي، مشددًا على ضرورة التزام القطاع الطبي بالشروط التعليمية الصارمة والدقيقة لتخريج كوادر متميزة تقدم خدماتها العلاجية للمواطنين بمستوى عال من الدقة والكفاءة والجودة.

ومن جانبه، أشار الدكتور أحمد سامح فريد رئيس جامعة نيو جيزة، إلى اعتزازه بجامعة القاهرة وإدارتها، ومنوهًا إلى أنه تم توقيع أول بروتوكول تعاون بين جامعة القاهرة وجامعة نيو جيزة عام 2009 عندما كانت تحت الإنشاء لتكون جامعة القاهرة هي الجامعة الراعية التي تقوم بدورها كمرشد أكاديمي لجامعة نيو جيزة، مؤكدًا أن جامعة نيو جيزة هي الضلع الذي أنجبته جامعة القاهرة وأنها نتاج تعاون مستمر منذ نشأتها مع جامعة القاهرة.

وقدم الدكتور أحمد سامح فريد، الشكر لرئيس جامعة القاهرة الدكتور محمد الخشت وإدارات الجامعة السابقة لرعاية جامعة القاهرة لجامعة نيو جيزة على مدار 15 عامًا سواء بكوادرها أو فكرها، موضحًا أن النجاح الذي حققته الجامعة يرجع أساسه والفضل في تحقيقه لجامعة القاهرة والتي تُعد مثالًا ناجحًا لرعاية الجامعة الأم للجامعة الناشئة، مؤكدًا أن فضل جامعة القاهرة على جامعة الجيزة الجديدة هو فضل عظيم وجميل لا يُنسى على مر العصور، وأن الجامعتين هما أسرة واحدة أساسها جامعة القاهرة.

Cooperation protocol signed between between Cairo University (CU) and New Giza University (NGU) in medical, pharmaceutical and dental studies

Dr. Elkhosht: The protocol is a new link in the chain of cooperation across 3 colleges in the medical sector that seek to provide educational, research and health services at the highest level to benefit our citizens.

Dr. Elkhosht reviews CU’s historical role in advancing science and culture as well as supporting prestigious public, non-governmental and private universities that are committed to applying the scientific method and producing distinguished graduates.

Dr. Sameh Farid: Cairo University is a sponsor and academic advisor of New Giza University. NGU is a product of CU, which still plays a role in supporting our university.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, President of New Giza University, Minister of Health and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Qasr al Aini Teaching Hospital, signed a joint cooperation protocol in the field of medical, pharmaceutical, and oral and dental studies to develop academic programs, support scientific curricula, develop research capabilities, advance clinical skills, enable faculty exchange, and offer support for medical and vocational training programs.

The signing of the cooperation protocol from Cairo University took place in the presence of Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Kasr Al-Aini; Dr. Ghada Abdel-Bari, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Dr. Ola Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. From New Giza University, the following faculty members attended: Dr. Lamis Ragab, Vice President of the University; Dr. Randa Al-Salawi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Dr. Lamia Mohsen, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Khaled Hegazy, Dean of the Faculty of Management; and Dr. Manal Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

During his speech, Dr. Elkhosht emphasized the strong relationship between Cairo University and New Giza University, saying that this meeting launches a new era of cooperation between the two universities through three important colleges at the forefront of the medical sector, with a view to providing educational, research and health services with high efficiency and quality, which ultimately benefits the citizens of Egypt. He also referred to CU’s historical role in cooperating with many prestigious public, non-governmental and private universities.

The President of Cairo University praised New Giza University as one of the most prestigious universities in the country, with a commitment to applying the scientific method and producing distinguished graduates, pointing out NGU’s commitment to applying strict European and British standards, and that NGU employs high-ranking personages and staff from Cairo University.

Dr. Elkhosht emphasized the important role played by Cairo University among other universities and scientific institutions in order to advance their scientific and cultural level. He also stressed the need for the health sector to adhere to stringent educational conditions so as to produce distinguished graduates who go on to provide health services to citizens at a high standard of efficiency, quality and precision.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, President of New Giza University, indicated his pride in Cairo University and its administration. He noted that the first cooperation protocol between the two universities was signed in 2009 when NGU was under construction, for CU to play the role of sponsoring university and academic advisor. He stressed that New Giza University may be considered an offshoot of Cairo University and that it has, since its inception, been the product of continuous cooperation with Cairo University.

Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid thanked the President of Cairo University, Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, and previous CU administrations for Cairo University’s sponsorship of New Giza University over the course of 15 years, both with staff and planning, explaining that the success achieved by NGU is due primarily to its affiliation with CU as a successful example of university sponsorship by the mother institution. He emphasized that NGU has CU to thank, deeply and unforgettably, and owes it a debt of gratitude that will never be forgotten down the ages; the two universities, he said, are one family whose foundation is Cairo University.
