فى إطار خطة القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة للإرتقاء بمستوى التدريب وتبادل الخبرات مع القوات المسلحة للدول الشقيقة والصديقة ،
نفذت القوات البحرية المصرية ونظيرتها الأمريكية تدريباً بحرياً عابراً بنطاق الأسطول الشمالى ، وذلك بإشتراك حاملة المروحيات (جمال عبد الناصر)
والفرقاطة (الجلالة)
مع المدمرة الأمريكية (USS DELBERT D.BLACK) .
وتضمن التدريب تنفيذ مجموعة من الأنشطة التدريبية المختلفة ،
والتى تركزت على التدريب على تبادل الموقف العملياتى بمسرح العمليات البحرى ،
والتدريب على أساليب العمل المتجانس ضمن قوة مشتركة مكلفة بمهام حفظ الأمن البحرى بغرض مجابهة التهديدات التى قد تؤثر على تدفق التجارة العالمية وحرية الملاحة الدولية .
يذكر أن التدريب هو الثانى من نوعه مع البحرية الأمريكية والذى تم تنفيذه خلال فترة زمنية وجيزة مما يسهم فى تبادل الخبرات المشتركة مع الجانب الأمريكى ،
والإستفادة من الخبرات الثنائية فى تحقيق المصالح المشتركة لكلا الجانبين ،
وتعزيز التعاون العسكرى بين القوات البحرية المصرية والأمريكية .

The Egyptian Navy and its American counterpart carried out a maritime training in the Northern Fleet, with the participation of the helicopter carrier (Gamal Abdel Nasser) and the frigate (Al Galala) with the American destroyer (USS DELBERT D.BLACK). This training comes within the framework of the plan of the General Command of the Armed Forces to raise the level of training and exchange of expertise with the Armed Forces of brotherly and friendly countries.
The training included the implementation of a set of various training activities, which focused on training on exchanging the operational situation in the naval operations theater along with training on methods of homogeneous work within a joint force tasked to preserve maritime security and confront threats that may affect the flow of global trade and freedom of international navigation.
It is noteworthy that the training is the second of its kind with the US Navy, which was successively implemented within a short period of time that contributes to exchanging common expertise with the US side, gaining bilateral expertise in achieving the common interests of both sides, and enhancing military cooperation between the Egyptian and US navies
