Within the framework of supporting the relations of partnership and cooperation between the governments of Egypt and Greece, General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, Greek Minister of Defense, signed a memorandum of understanding in the air and sea search and rescue field between the Egyptian and Greek sides with the presence of Mr. Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his Greek counterpart, Mr. Nikos Dendias.

The memorandum of understanding stated all aspects of support between the two sides in order to achieve integration in the field of air and sea search and rescue (SAR).

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed his pride in the partnership relations between the Egyptian and Greek Armed Forces in various military fields, stressing on the keenness of the Armed Forces General Command to increase cooperation in various military fields for both friendly countries.

For his part, the Greek Minister of Defense expressed his full appreciation for Egypt’s active role in its regional and international environment, hoping that the next stage will witness support for new horizons in the fields of military cooperation for both countries. This was followed by a meeting between General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, with his Greek counterpart and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest within the framework of strengthening the military cooperation fields, transferring and exchanging of experiences between the Egyptian and Greek Armed Forces.

Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Konstantinos Floros, Chief of Staff of the Greek Armed Forces, and a number of commanders of the Armed Forces for both countries attended the meeting.

Στο πλαίσιο της υποστήριξης των σχεσεων συνεργασίας μεταξύ των κυβερνησεων της Αιγύπτου και της Ελλάδας Ο στρατηγός / Μοχάμεντ Ζάκι Αρχηγός των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων της Αιγύπτου, Υπουργός Άμυνας και Στρατιωτικής Παραγωγής, και ο κ. Νικόλαος Παναγιωτόπουλος Έλληνας Υπουργός Άμυνας υπέγραψαν Μνημόνιο συμφωνίας Για Συνεργασία στον τομέα της Αεροναυτικής και Ναυτιλίας Έρευνα και διάσωση, μεταξύ Αιγύπτου και Ελλάδας , παρουσία του κ. Sameh Shoukry ,του Αιγύπτιου Υπουργού Εξωτερικων και τον Έλληνα ομόλογό του, κ. Νίκου Δένδια.

Αρχηγός των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων της Αιγύπτου επιβεβαίωσε την περηφάνια του για τις εταιρικές σχέσεις μεταξύ των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων της Αιγύπτου και της Ελλάδας σε διάφορους στρατιωτικούς τομείς και επιβεβαίωσε τη βούληση της Γενικής Διοίκησης να αυξήσει αυτή τη συνεργασία στους στρατιωτικούς τομείς των δύο φίλων χωρών. Από την πλευρά του ,ο Έλληνας Υπουργός Άμυνας εξέφρασε την πλήρη εκτίμηση του για τον περιφερειακό και διεθνή ρολό της Αιγύπτου, ελπίζοντας οτι στο επόμενη φάση θα υπάρξει μεγαλύτερη συνεργασία σε διάφορους στρατιωτικούς τομείς

Μετά την Υπογραφή της συμφωνίας, πραγματοποιήθηκε συνάντηση μεταξύ του στρατηγού / Μοχάμεντ Ζάκι Αρχηγόυ των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων της Αιγύπτου, Υπουργός Άμυνας και Στρατιωτικής Παραγωγής με τον Έλληνα ομόλογό του,Συζητήθηκε στον τομέα της στρατιωτικής συνεργασίας και της ανταλλαγής εμπειριών με τις ένοπλες δυνάμεις των δύο φίλων χωρών, παρουσία του Αντιστράτηγου / Οσάμα Ασκάρ Αρχηγόυ Γενικού Επιτελείου Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων της Αραβικής Δημοκρατίας της Αιγύπτου και στρατηγού / Κωνσταντίνο φλώρο Αρχηγόυ του Γενικού Επιτελείου Εθνικής Άμυνας της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας .
