إختُتمت فعاليات التدريب المصرى السودانى المشترك ( حارس الجنوب – 2 )
والذى نفذته عناصر حرس الحدود المصرية وعناصر المشاة السودانية المدربة على مهام تأمين الحدود ، والذى جرت فعالياته على مدار عدة أيام بمجمع تدريب ميادين قوات حرس الحدود فى إطار خطة التدريبات المشتركة لدعم آفاق التعاون العسكرى بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين الشقيقين .
وألقى اللواء أح / عماد يمانى قائد قوات حرس الحدود كلمة نقل خلالها تحيات الفريق أول / محمد زكى القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى ،
والفريق / أسامة عسكر رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة للقوات المشاركة بالتدريب ، مشيداً بإحترافية الأداء للعناصر المشاركة ومدى قدرتهم على القيام بمهام مشتركة بكفاءة وقدرة عالية .
وقد شملت المرحلة الختامية تنفيذ عدد من الأنشطة والفعاليات التى تبرز أسلوب عمل ومهام عناصر حرس الحدود وكيفية التعامل مع مختلف المواقف الطارئة بما تفرضه طبيعة المناطق الحدودية وكيفية التغلب عليها بالإسلوب الأمثل ، وذلك بإستخدام أحدث الأسلحة والمعدات والأساليب المتطورة فى مجال تأمين الحدود .
يأتى التدريب فى إطار تعزيز أوجه التعاون المشترك بين القوات المسلحة المصرية والسودانية وتبادل الخبرات فى العمل على أحدث النظم والأساليب فى مجال تأمين الحدود .
حضر المرحلة الختامية اللواء أح / خالد شوقى رئيس هيئة تدريب القوات المسلحة وعدد من قادة القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .

The activities of the joint Egyptian-Sudanese exercise “Guard of the South – 2”, which were carried out by Egyptian Border Guard and Sudanese infantry elements trained on border security tasks, were concluded. The exercise took place over several days at the Border Guard Fields Training Complex within the framework of the joint training plan to support prospects for military cooperation between the Armed forces of both brotherly countries.
Major General Imad Yamani, Commander of the Border Guard Forces, delivered a speech during which he conveyed the greetings of General Muhammad Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the participating forces in the training, praising the professional performance of the participating personnel and their ability to carry out joint tasks efficiently and with high capability.
The final phase included the implementation of a number of activities and events that highlight the work method and tasks of the Border Guards, how to deal with various emergency situations, as imposed by the nature of the border areas, and how to overcome them in an optimal manner, using the latest weapons, equipment and advanced methods in the field of border security.
The exercise comes within the framework of enhancing aspects of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Sudanese Armed Forces and exchanging expertise in working on the latest systems and methods in the field of border security.
Major General Khaled Shawky attended the closing phase, head of the Armed Forces Training Authority, and a number of commanders of the Armed Forces of both countries.
