عقد السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي أمس اجتماعاً لمتابعة مشروع “مستقبل مصر” للإنتاج الزراعي، مع كل من الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي رئيس مجلس الوزراء، والفريق أول محمد زكي وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربي، والفريق أحمد الشاذلي رئيس هيئة الشئون المالية للقوات المسلحة، واللواء أمير سيد أحمد مستشار رئيس الجمهورية للتخطيط العمراني، والعقيد طيار بهاء الدين الغنام المدير التنفيذي لجهاز مستقبل مصر للتنمية المستدامة.

وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس اطلع خلال الاجتماع على تطورات المراحل الحالية والمستقبلية لمشروع “مستقبل مصر” الذي يقع ضمن نطاق المشروع القومي “الدلتا الجديدة”، بما في ذلك معدلات سير العمل في البنية الأساسية للمشروع، التي تشمل الطرق والمحاور، وآبار المياه، ومحطات المعالجة، وشبكة تغذية الكهرباء، فضلاً عن منظومتي التصنيع والتسويق الزراعي.

وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي بأن السيد الرئيس وجه في هذا السياق بمواصلة الجهود المكثفة في إطار العمل على إضافة حوالي 3.5 مليون فدان في الدلتا الجديدة وتوشكى وسيناء إلى الرقعة الزراعية في مصر، وهو ما يفوق ثُلُث المساحة المنزرعة على مستوى الجمهورية، الأمر الذي يمثل مشروعاً قومياً عملاقاً يهدف لتلبية آمال وتطلعات الشعب المصري، ويأتي في إطار استراتيجية الدولة لمواكبة احتياجات الزيادة السكانية، وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي، وزيادة الصادرات الزراعية، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز التكامل بين جميع قطاعات الاقتصاد الوطني.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting to follow-up on the “Future of Egypt” project for agricultural production. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohammed Zaki, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Shazly, President’s Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed and Director of the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority Colonel Pilot Bahaa El-Ghannam.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi was briefed on the developments of the current and future stages of the “Future of Egypt” project, which falls within the range of the “New Delta” national project. That included rates of work progress in the project’s infrastructure, which includes roads, axes, wells, treatment plants, electricity supply network, as well as the agricultural manufacturing and marketing systems.

The President gave directives to continue intensive efforts to add about 3.5 million feddans in the New Delta, Toshka and Sinai to the agricultural area in Egypt, which exceeds a third of the cultivated area nationwide. This comprises a mega national project aimed at meeting the hopes and aspirations of the Egyptian people, and comes within the framework of the state’s strategy to keep pace with the needs of population increase, achieve food security, increase agricultural exports and enhance integration between all sectors of the national economy.
