وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن السيد وزير الأوقاف عرض خلال الاجتماع مستجدات برامج تأهيل وتدريب الأئمة الجدد، التي تتم بغرض تأهيلهم دعوياً وعلمياً وثقافياً، على يد نخبة من كبار المتخصصين في مجالات علوم الدين والدراسات الإنسانية والاجتماعية والثقافية. وقد وجه السيد الرئيس في هذا الإطار بمواصلة تلك الجهود على نحو مستدام، بهدف الصقل المستمر لخبرات الأئمة وتعزيز قدرتهم على مواكبة قضايا العصر على نحو معتدل ومستنير، ووفقاً لصحيح الدين الإسلامي الحنيف.

كما تناول الاجتماع الموقف التنفيذي لخطة وزارة الأوقاف لإيفاد الأئمة وقراء القرآن الكريم إلى مختلف دول العالم خلال شهر رمضان الكريم، في ضوء دور مصر الريادي في هذا المجال، وقد وجه السيد الرئيس بانتقاء أفضل العناصر من الأئمة والقراء وإعدادهم بصورة متميزة قبل سفرهم للخارج بما يسهم في أداء رسالتهم على الوجه الأكمل.

كما اطلع السيد الرئيس أيضاً على جهود وزارة الأوقاف للإعداد لمؤتمرها الدولي، الذي سيركز على مناقشة دور الوسائل الإليكترونية الحديثة في الخطاب الديني، في إطار توجه الدولة نحو التحول الرقمي في مختلف المجالات. وعرض الدكتور محمد مختار جمعة كذلك مستجدات تطور إيرادات هيئة الأوقاف، التي تتنامى بشكل ملحوظ ومستمر، في ضوء توجيهات السيد الرئيس المستديمة بصون وحسن استثمار أصول الأوقاف، بما يحقق الصالح العام.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Awkaf (religious endowments) Dr. Muhammed Mukhtar Gomaa.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that during the meeting, the Minister of Awkaf presented the updates of the training programmes provided for the new imams which aims at improving their skills in all aspects. These programmes are given by leading specialists in the fields of religious sciences and humanitarian, social and cultural studies. President El-Sisi directed that these efforts be continued in a sustainable manner, with the aim of constantly adding to the expertise of the imams and enhancing their ability to keep abreast of today’s issues in a moderate, enlightened manner in accordance with the righteous Islamic religion.

The meeting also discussed the Ministry’s plan to send imams and readers of the Holy Qura’n to various countries during the Holy Month of Ramadan, in the light of Egypt’s pioneering role in this field. In this regard, the President directed that the best imams and Quran readers be selected and prepared before travelling abroad.

The President was also briefed on the efforts of the Ministry of Awkaf to prepare for its international conference which will focus on discussing the role of modern electronic means in religious discourse, as part of the State’s efforts toward digital transformation in various fields. Dr. Gomaa also presented the revenues of the Awkaf Authority which are growing significantly and continuously, in the light of the President’s constant directives to safeguard and invest in the assets of the Authority as this is in the public interest.
